Tides

The cove was grey and stormy. The tide was coming in fast. It was wild and beautiful, the incoming waves swirled around the rocks and seaweed. The wind and mist blew my hair into a tangles mess. I snapped photo after photo. I was happy.

Later, I sat in my favorite cafe warming my hands around a hot mug of tea and eating a blackberry scone still warm from the oven. I looked out the window onto the square, the wet cobblestones thick with fallen leaves. People walked backed and forth. I was happy.
